We're a TIA performance certified company, level 100,000. The law requires a $10,000 surety, but at Northern Freight we have a $100,000 surety bond because we want to take care of our carriers. We've gone over and above the standards because we have your interest in mind.

TIA Performance Certified is a recognized Best Practces program of the transportaton Intermediaries Associaton (TIA). Those companies that agree to the best practces standards are recognized as Performance Certified companies with guaranteed levels of freight payment.
Performance Certified Companies are:
- TIA members in good standing and adhere to the strict TIA Code of Ethics
- Maintain a credit score from TransCredit, Inc. or First Advantage of 90% or better
- Use written agreements
- Maintain insurance coverage and a verified surety bond
- Maintain higher levels of bonds issued by TIA Surety and Avalon Risk Management
- Maintain written carrier qualifcaton framework
